At the beginning of our walk with Jesus, we are often impressed by what we see and hear in others: brothers and sisters praying loudly, full of emotion, and others who seem “anointed” because of their outward display.
But God has a different path for those who learn to hear His voice in intimacy.
💎 The Lesson
The Lord taught me:
“Just whisper in their ear while praying in tongues for them.”
At first, I doubted: “Lord, shouldn’t I pray in a language they understand so they can receive the prayer?”
And He gently answered:
“Whose power is it, and who does the work? It is I speaking to their spirit.”
I realized something profound: it’s not the volume or the display that moves God, but obedience to His voice in secret.
🔥 Confirming Experiences
- When we pray in obedience to the Spirit, even in silence or by whispering, people can feel God’s power in their innermost being, and their hearts begin to awaken and transform.
- The Holy Spirit can act in ways that do not depend on human perception, not even on a person’s physical ability to hear; even if someone has a physical limitation that prevents them from hearing human speech, God can speak directly to their spirit and work in their life, bringing peace, joy, and deliverance.
🌊 Reflection
The Holy Spirit works invisibly and supernaturally.
When we learn to whisper, obey, and wait, we allow Him to work in the hearts of people, without relying on our strength or human perception.
“My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” — 1 Corinthians 2:4
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
“Pray in the Spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers and requests.” — Ephesians 6:18
“And after the earthquake, a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire, a gentle whisper.” — 1 Kings 19:12
🕊️ Conclusion
The whisper of the Spirit can be more powerful than any shout, more effective than any display, and holier than any human applause.
Let us learn to listen and obey, because this is where God is glorified and lives are transformed, even when people cannot hear our voice, but can receive God’s voice directly in their spirit.
