📖 Hebrews 11:1
📖 2 Thessalonians 3:2

1. Different Means of Transportation in Life

In our daily lives, we use different modes of transportation: walking, bicycle, motorcycle, car, bus, and even airplane. Each has advantages and disadvantages:

  • Some are immediately accessible, like a bike or car, but have limitations (capacity, costs).
  • Others, like boats, airplanes, or trains, require us to leave our comfort to use them, but offer greater reliability and capacity.

Spiritual application: Just as we choose transportation to reach a destination, we must decide how to walk in our spiritual life, because faith doesn’t wait passively.

2. The Train as a Symbol of Faith

The train has special characteristics:

  • It waits for no one.
  • It has a fixed route and schedule.
  • If you don’t arrive on time, you miss it.

Spiritual application: Faith also has a window of opportunity. God calls us, but we must decide to get on the train before it passes.

3. Different Times People Get on the Train

  • Some get on as children.
  • Others in youth or adulthood.
  • Some at the end of life.
  • Others never do.

📖 Biblical example: The thief on the cross (Luke 23:39-43) got on the train at the last moment and received salvation.

4.Those Who Get Off the Train

  • Some get on early but later fall away.
  • Others switch to “other transport” seeking comfort and lose the security of the train of faith.

📖 Hebrews 10:38: “But the just shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”

5. The Urgency to Decide

  • The train has a secure destination: eternal life in Christ.
  • If we don’t get on in time, we can be left behind.

📖 2 Corinthians 6:2: “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

6. Why a Train and Not Other Transport?

  • Boat: depends on nature, less reliable.
  • Airplane: can suffer delays or cancellations.
  • Train: constant and punctual; its destination is assured.

Mechanical failures = our excuses and pretexts:

  • Desires for other things.
  • Focusing on what doesn’t matter.

📖 Titus 3:3: “For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.”

7. Accidents in Spiritual Life

Obstacles beyond our control, created by the enemy or circumstances:

  1. Unexpected visits from friends or family that interfere with attending church.
  2. Sudden illnesses delaying important decisions (e.g., baptism).
  3. Work conflicts preventing attendance to conferences or services.
  4. Transportation issues (car won’t start).

📖 James 1:2-4: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

8. The Importance of Boarding the Train of Faith

  • The train always comes: its destination is secure and it never fails.
  • It’s up to us to be at the station and have our ticket ready, leaving our comfort and deciding to board.

📖 Hebrews 11:6: Faith is necessary to please God.
📖 Hebrews 11:8: Abraham obeyed without knowing the destination, trusting God’s promise.

Application: Boarding the train of faith is a personal decision. If we don’t, we miss the opportunity to please God and receive His blessings.

Conclusion: Boarding the Train of Faith 🚂✨

Imagine, brothers and sisters, standing on that platform, full of anticipation, waiting for the train of faith. We know it will always arrive, safe, on time, and with space for everyone who wants to board.

The train of faith doesn’t wait, but it also doesn’t discriminate. Each person must be ready, with their ticket, trusting that God has already set everything in motion for our journey to eternal life.

Final question: Are you ready to board today?
